In Jacksonville, Florida, between 1965 and the early 90s, The Huntly Jiffy (locally known as Jiffy Stores) convenience stores grew to almost 350 locations in and around Jacksonville, FL. The term Jiffy Feet first surfaced in the early 70s from patrons barefooting it to and from the stores for a treat and tarnishing the soles of their feet during their trek. The term stuck and was soon widely known by Jaxons, and you can still hear the words Jiffy Feet used today.
Jiffy Feet is part of Jacksonville's history because its original to Jacksonville and is an iconic term with a nostalgic flavor. The Jiffy stores were sold and all gone by the early 90s, making the term Jiffy Feet legendary.
If you see a Jiffy Feet decal on a vehicle or printed on clothing, one thing is certain, that person is from Jax, knows someone from Jax, or has passed through Jax. Jiffy Feet says Jacksonville because it was born here, and we wear it proudly.
